I applied online. I interviewed at Partners Capital (London, England) in June 2020
Interview
Happy to waste the candidates' time and their own(?); eight rounds of interviews with previous grads/lower management who asked the same questions and didn't listen anyway.
Large focus on what extracurricular activities I did at school. I was 24 at the time and I felt it was strange they saw this as relevant; I had graduated from university and had nearly two years experience working in finance.
Some things that the interviewers said indicate an archaic and out of touch place of work. I interviewed almost 2 years ago and I use this as the benchmark for bad interviews.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What grade of piano did you get to?
What sports did you play at school?
Straightforward and thorough. 3 rounds of 1.5 hour long interviews (3 people each for 30 mins) mostly behavioral questions. They asked about my previous position, and then questions about my work ethic and how to handle certain situations.
Introduced to a wide spectrum of team members who provided me with a greater transparency of the role and firm. Great career opportunity for a graduate or candidate with some industry work experience.
