      Senior Java Software Engineer Interview

      18 Aug 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Santa Barbara, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PayJunction (Santa Barbara, CA) in July 2025

      Interview

Don't bother with this company. They posted, then reposted a job on LinkedIn, and at least one recruiting firm was trying to fill it. I counted almost 1,800 people, including myself, who clicked 'Apply" across the postings I found. My experience was a good fit, but I was rejected (via a recruiter) for not having an optional skill. They aren't serious about hiring anyone. There's nothing in the job description that suggests there aren't hundreds of candidates who aren't qualified to do the work.

      Question 1

Do you have Angular experience? It's an optional job requirement.
