      Specialist Interview

      9 July 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Paycom

      Interview

I received a message via LinkedIn from a recruiting officer asking me if I was interested in learning about the career opportunities Paycom had to offer. Of course I was exited and immediately said yes! After the recruiter asked me questions about my previous experience she asked if I was interested in apply and she said that with my background I would be perfect fit for a Paycom specialist. I submitted my app, took an assessment, excel assessment and typing test and phone interview. After I was schedule for a face to face interview. I took off work to go to the face to face and couldn’t get on the campus. My name wasn’t at the security gate and couldn’t get ahold of anyone. Waited an hour and a half and finally left. Got a call the next day and my interview was rescheduled and everyone apologized. They said they had a hiring event and no one was on campus. Big red flag! Had to take the assessment again and face to face interview. I really thought I did well on the interview and assessment. 8 days I received an email saying I wasn’t picked for the job. I was bummed not because I didn’t get the job, but the fact they reached out to me, and gave me the run around. I even sent a thank you letter after my interview.

We’re sorry to hear of your unpleasant interview experience. We agree it’s unacceptable to schedule you for an interview when no recruiters are available and to not have you entered into Paycom’s visitor management system. Tiffany McGowen, director of recruiting, would like to connect. Please email her at tiffany.mcgowen@paycomonline.com. We wish you the best of luck.

      Specialist Interview

      22 Nov 2023
      Anonymous employee
      Oklahoma City, OK
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Paycom (Oklahoma City, OK) in Nov 2023

      Interview

I submitted my application, one of many, and all of my information was saved from the last time. In a very short turnaround, they contacted me for a phone screening. They asked me some simple questions about myself and then gave me a lot of information about the job and Paycom. She said that she would forward me on to the next round and gave me some pointers on how to perform well in the interview stage. I received an email with some suggested material to review and notes on how to interview. My interview happened quickly after that and was just 2 other people and myself sitting at a round table. They asked only about 5 questions and asked if I had any questions. I asked my questions and then left. I got the call offering me the position the next day.
