I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Paycom (Atlanta, GA) in May 2015
Interview
Very easy to communicate with initially but the interview was very informal and the interviewers asked questions that seemed off topic and irrelevant. The interviewers didn't seem to understand that working for their company wasn't my life goal, but I thought it was a great opportunity and was interested in pursuing it. I was very informed about the company and had related experience but they focused on asking questions about my previous work experience that didn't make sense, because I assume they didn't understand anything about the industry.
We appreciate your comments. Our recruiting team is well-versed in Paycom and our industry. The recruiters like to get to know your experience through discussion, as a resume isn’t always the best reference when getting to know a candidate. We wish you the best of luck.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Paycom
Interview
The first interview is a phone call from a recruiter. I did not get through the first interview because Paycom has an underlying rule that doesn't allow students with over 89 college credit hours to partake in internships. This was not stated in the original job posting and I was disappointed that my interview was cut short because of this.
I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paycom
Interview
A lot of behavioral questions and getting to know you. Be confident and show grit. No sales role plays. Make sure you know your resume and can attest to why you want the specific role you are applying for.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is your current GPA? Why did you choose to go to the college you are attending?
Welcome aboard! We're excited about your new Paycom journey. Those who show confidence and grit are the ones who step up to the challenges of a fast-paced company. We wish you a fruitful internship. Thank you.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Paycom (Arlington, VA) in Nov 2019
Interview
Super easy process. They reached out to me on LinkedIn and I talked to a recruiter which was the first interview. Then I had another call with the recruiter. Finally, (pre-Covid) I went into their office where I interviewed with a sales manager.
