I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Paymentwall (Berlin) in Oct 2025
Interview
We had a long, one-hour initial interview. They also asked some technical questions. Since the interview was an hour long, I expected those kinds of questions and found them normal. However, for example, there was a 3- to 5-month gap in my resume. I felt they asked personal questions, like why I’d been unemployed for five months.Unfortunately, they didn’t provide any results, and when I sent a follow-up email, I didn’t receive a response
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paymentwall (Kuala Lumpur) in Oct 2024
Interview
Process very streamlined and interview took place as part of their expansion plans into Malaysia. The CEO even took the time to fly in to personally interview me, which proved they were serious about things, and importantly, knows his product to the letter.
Whilst I was not chosen sadly, I believe the interview process was fair and just - with our 3rd round interview taking 2 hours, just because we had a lot to discuss!

Question 1
What is the one product plan you have for your existing company, and what are the reasons why you're looking to expand the company vertical into that? What are you trying to achieve?

Interview
A gazillion interviews, where you have to repeat the same story, including a final interview with the CEO
1. HR Interview
2. Peer interview
3. 1-hour assessment
4. In-person interview
5. 2nd peer interview
5. Interview with CEO
Only positive thing I could say is that the HR was polite and very efficient in the communication.
Team in Sofia office also very positive and polite.
Crazy rumours about the allegedly toxic CEO put me off before even getting to the final stage. Reading Glassdoors reviews about the company can be a fun evening activity to eat your popcorn with.
