I applied online. I interviewed at Penn State in Feb 2020
Interview
Respectful, collegial, and as painless as an academic search can be. Phone interview request was two weeks after application deadline, invitation to visit campus was several weeks after that. They ended up cancelling the search after my campus visit due to a hiring freeze but could not have been nicer or more professional

What is a graduate level course not currently offered in our college that you would like to teach
Full day of meetings with faculty followed by a research presentation and teaching demonstration. Lots of difficult questions, but the faculty was great. Resources for starting up research and scholarship were sparse, which made success difficult.
