I was called by a recruiter to set up an on-site interview and wasn't asked about my experience or anything other than if I could be on-site for an interview. So, I drive 4 hours to the on-site interview where the hiring manager starts out with the description of the job and the scope of it's responsibilities and I immediately realize that I was not qualified for this job. The job posting grossly misrepresented the position and the scope of it's responsibilities. I applied for this job solely based on the job description and qualifications listed in the job posting, which I was more than qualified for. Had the job posting been accurate and the recruiter had done a little more than simply call candidates to set up interviews, it would have saved me 8 hours of driving and the expenses that come along with it as well as the interviewers time. The interviewer stopped 10 minutes in because we both realized I was not qualified for the position. It was a complete waste of time and money at my expense...
