Interview
Two rounds of conversation with clarifications on the role, behavioral questions, and a performance task. The process and timeline were clearly laid out. It's rare to find an employer so respectful of a candidate's time and effort.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Permanent Legacy Foundation (McDonough, GA) in Feb 2023
Interview
1. Sent out my resume and waited for a response.
2. Got a response and a request for a 15-minute phone screening. Was promised this would be shorter and easier than other job interviews I've done in the past. Became the longest and most convoluted interview I've ever done instead.
3. Hiring manager was impressed and brought me in for a 2nd 1-hour interview in which I needed to complete a user journey project about a product that I had purchased.
4. Hiring manager was impressed with my project and asked for 3 references. I provided them.
5. Hiring manager asked to complete a 15-minute Zoom call to clarify some things on my resume. I was able to do so.
6. Hiring manager asked finalist candidates to provide 3 references, but hiring manager stated that they wanted a 4th reference from me who was a supervisor and not a client.
7. I followed up 2 weeks after sending a 4th reference. Hiring manager said they were having trouble making decision. Employer replied 2-3 weeks later that job was handed to someone else. At least they got back to me eventually.

I applied online. I interviewed at Permanent Legacy Foundation
Interview
First stage was a phone screening with the Executive Director. The second round interview was with both the Executive Director and Director of Engineering and required preparing a brief demo based on an ICP. During the second interview, I was tasked with analyzing some member activity data. Third round I was assigned a small task that required creating a permanent.org account. While performing the task I was asked to reflect on how the process could be improved or questions that arose and share this with a member of the engineering team. After the third round, the final candidate was to meet with the entire team. Interviewers stressed that the tasks should take no more than an hour for each assignment.
