After my application sat on "pending" for several weeks, I had to proactively follow up four separate times just to secure a brief telephone interview. When the call finally took place, the interview felt incredibly rushed. I was not given adequate time to properly answer the questions, and I was told that if I didn't hear back, I should assume I was unsuccessful.
Following the call, my candidate portal remained stuck on "pending telephone interview" for weeks. When I reached out to my recruitment contact for a definitive update, all communication stopped entirely and my emails were ignored.
Leaving candidates in limbo without updating their application status—while simultaneously ignoring polite follow-up emails—demonstrates a lack of basic courtesy and respect for people's time. Based on this experience and the overall employee feedback online, the poor communication during recruitment seems to mirror the wider issues with job satisfaction at the company. I have since decided to withdraw my application and look elsewhere
I applied through indeed then I was notified via email about getting a telephone interview after that I was invited to a face to face interview in store with the manager.
Got taken in the back shown about and asked interview style questions. The atmosphere was relaxed and I could talk to the interviewer with ease just a little awkward when employees were coming in and out to get their lunch out the fridge. Then went onto the shop floor and was shown what kind of duties you'd be expected to do on the job,
