I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Phagenesis in Sept 2025
Interview
I enjoyed the interview process. The company included multiple organizational Sr. Leaders which allowed me to get a great understanding for the vision of the company. The process was very thoughtful. You can tell it is a young company but is trying to make it a great candidate experience.

Question 1
What is important to you as you think about the next step in your career?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Phagenesis (Manchester City Centre, England) in Apr 2025
Interview
3 stage interview process with Head of HR, COO and CEO. Great process, very informative and quick. The 3 stages took place over 1 week, with an offer made very quickly after I had met the CEO.
Interview process for the Quality Engineer role was poorly structured and repetitive. I had to go through a three-stage interview, answering the same set of questions each time just with different stakeholders. It gave the impression that there was no internal communication or coordination among the interviewers. A waste of time and frankly disrespectful to the interviewee.
After starting the role, it quickly became clear that processes and systems are severely outdated, and there's no genuine interest from management to improve them. You’re expected to juggle a workload which is easily the work of two people with minimal support or supervision even as a new starter.
