      Technical Support Engineer Interview

      13 May 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at Phenom (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

The interview process was pretty straightforward overall. The only negative thing I'd have to say was the last interviewer (which was the technical interviewer) got very fixated on specific things I mentioned which seemed odd. I think perhaps it was a language barrier thing on their end. They also were asking very peculiar and random technical questions that had no relevance to the position which I also found strange. The overall interview process itself isn't particularly difficult but I definitely think they need to polish up the technical part of the interview process to make it more standardized. Either that or perhaps use someone else to do the technical part of the interview process because it felt like they were throwing things at the wall to see what stuck without any real reason or thought behind their questions. They were not a good interviewer in my opinion.
