I applied online. I interviewed at Piclo (London, England) in June 2023
Interview
First stage was a friendly phone call, went really well and nice people. Second stage was a 'Challenge' which felt abit like homework, but got it done and sent across.Final stage was a near on 2hr interview with different people dropping in and out and had to use there system (which i wasn't familiar with) to do a collaboration session which took up the main duration of the interview. Got told i would hear back within a few days...Over a MONTH later still haven't heard anything. This company don't even have the decency to let you know where you stand after going through 3 stages. Complete waste of time
We apologise that you didn’t hear back as quick as you had expected, we had discussed at the end of the interview that we would be exploring other avenues for your application, and we did respond to you to update you on this, albeit much later than we perhaps set expectations.
We really appreciate you sharing your feedback about the interview process, as your input helps us create a better candidate experience.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Piclo
Interview
I first spoke with their hiring team which went well. They then sent a technical test over which i completed. We had another stage of system design and implementing changes to their large code base. Overall i think the interview process was fairly quick and the people are generally nice. Their system design interview lasted 30 mins and it didn't make any sense. After all the time spent, they didn't see the need to get back to me, which i find disrespectful.
Thank you for sharing your feedback about the interview process.
We value your input and are committed to continuously improving our hiring process. We apologise that you didn’t ever hear back from your recruiter, we strive to update our contract within the Agency as soon as any decisions are made in our hiring process, along with feedback, for them to pass back to the candidate.
Your feedback helps us create a better candidate experience for everyone involved. We appreciate your time and consideration.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Piclo (London, England) in Apr 2022
Interview
Applied via recruiter. The process took 12 days. Interviewed via video in April 2022. Three staged interview: Intro to company and candidate overview Task and meet members of the team Final interview with CTO Made it to final stage and never received confirmation or denial on my application and all follow up emails were ignored with no reason as to why, and recruiter was also ignored. I was upset about this as I had taken holiday to attend some of the interviews as the task section was 3 hours+ very unprofessional.

Question 1
Whiteboarding session via miro: I was presented with a Jira ticket brief and ui design and asked to discuss relevant considerations and to think out loud as if it was a planning session. Second part was pair programming on a real Jira bug ticket.
