I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Pierce County Library System (Tacoma, WA) in Oct 2021
Interview
Interview was done via MS Teams. Even though the initial email requesting I confirm a date and time from a list, it also stated if I did not have MS Teams access, they could do the interview via Zoom. I already have Zoom set up on my computer and iPad and requested that in my response email. They replied back confirming the time with a link to the MS Teams 'room'. I emailed about Zoom-no reply, so I downloaded and set up MS Teams. A bit clunky, but no their fault.
Interview went well. Questions seemed a bit high level for an entry level customer service role. Having worked in CS, and in leadership roles they weren't too difficult to answer. Mostly about dealing with the public in special situations and working as a team.
Out of the three people interviewing, 2 seemed to not be paying attention most of the time as I had to repeat things.
I was given a chance to ask questions at the end, and they stated they will respond regardless of an offer or not by the end of the next week. I asked how to reach out in case I don't hear back and they restated that I shouldn't worry, they will definitely reach out either way. Over a month later, have not heard anything even after two emails and two phone calls where I was told someone would call me back.
