I applied online. I interviewed at Pingle Studio in June 2026
Interview
The process started with a test assignment, which I completed and submitted. After that, I was invited to a short interview.
The interview lasted about 3 minutes. There were no questions about my skills, portfolio, or the test assignment. Instead, the conversation focused entirely on personal background — where I'm from, my citizenship, and where my relatives were born and grew up.
The rejection was based not on my own citizenship or nationality, but on the origins of my family members. I understand the studio's sensitivities given the current situation, but screening candidates based on relatives' backgrounds, without any upfront disclosure of such requirements, feels inappropriate. Completing a test assignment before these basic eligibility questions were even asked was also a poor use of everyone's time.
Pros: The overall process was fast.
Cons: Eligibility criteria were not communicated before the test assignment. The interview felt more like a background check than a professional conversation.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Pingle Studio (Kyiv, Kyiv) in May 2023
Interview
A very long interview, the whole process can take more than 1 month.
Minus:
2 interviews with HR and a technical specialist may take approximately 2 weeks. But there is also a test task that can take a minimum of 2 weeks+ and without any payment.
Plus:
It's not all bad, I really enjoyed talking with their senior level designer, he taught me a lot of useful things and helped me understand a lot.
As a result, I can say that it is better to pay for such 2-week assignments, otherwise I didn’t really want to spend so much time without payment.
