I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Piper Sandler (New York, NY) in Aug 2017
Interview
Extremely comfortable, more behavioral questions concerning who you are, where you are from, and why you want to do this type of work. Just be yourself and you should be fine.
Decent difficulty, good amount of technical questions as well as basic behavioural, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Really know your story and why this firm in particular. Technicals should be pretty sharp
After passing the first round, I was invited to a Superday where I completed several back-to-back interviews with senior bankers, focusing on technical skills like valuation methods, financial statements, and behavioral questions about teamwork and problem-solving. Additionally, I was given a technical assessment to build a simple financial model and analyze a hypothetical investment scenario.
medium difficulty. one technical round and a few personal rounds. went through a hiring team and were pretty reciprocative. interviewed for the consumer investment banking vertical. did not get offer.
