      Customer Service Representative (CSR) Interview

      11 Jan 2023
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Pitt Ohio Express

      Interview

Received a call from HR to set up an interview. Met with supervisors over Zoom. Interview was simple, just for them to get to know you and for them to share info about the position. Took (admittedly difficult) critical thinking skills and data entry tests. Results are compared to other finalist applicants. Afterwards, if chosen, briefly meet with a member of higher level management who will make the final decision if you're on board. Afterwards, HR will inform you of the decision. Took about a week.

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pitt Ohio Express

      Interview

I had multiple years experience in the Freight Industry holding roles in customer service, sales, and an LC. I applied online and a recruiter called for a phone interview. The phone interview was very long for no reason. You could clearly tell she was reading off a paper. She said she had my resume in her hand but made me go through my entire job history back to High School. Then asked why I left a job to go to college when I was 17. What that has to do with this career I have no clue. Then there were 2 in person interviews both managers were extremely nice. But again the interviews were very drawn out, with very basic questions. Finally they had me take a very basic math and customer service exam. Which I did very well on. Then that's it. Never heard back. For a company that preaches culture and reputation you'd think they'd at least get back to you. It also seems they expect a lot you for a very low salary (31,500) which isn't even livable. They are also not willing to negotiate. I feel this is why I didn't get a call back, as I asked to negotiate when they asked me if I'm okay with the salary
