Multiple rounds of interviews, like 5 I think, it was a very long and exhausting process. But all the interviewers were very nice throughout the process, especially the recruiter who was very responsive to my follow ups.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Plenty of Fish in Dec 2023
Interview
Interview Rounds:
1. HR round [30 mins]
2. Hiring Manager A [40 mins]
3. Department Manager [40 mins]
4. Hiring Manager B [40 mins]
5. WHO interview [career walkthrough]
The reason for my non-selection was my communication skills.
While I disagree with the reasoning, this could have been pointed out during the FOUR other interviews. Lack of communication skills is something you should notice after 3 hours of interviews, and not at the fifth one.
During all of the interviews, each interviewer repeated *multiple times* how I had a lot more experience than current team members and how they would love to incorporate me into the team.
For context, this was an entry level role where its extremely hard to find people with direct + relevant experience. Not only did I have direct experience, but I led a team that executed multiple highly succesful projects in this area.
I have seen another recent review on Glassdoor describing the same situation (content manager].
Make of it what you will but - If it happens once, it's just a one-off event. If it happens twice, it might be a coincidence. If it happens thrice, then it's a pattern.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The last interview is something called a WHO interview where they take you take them through your career history. They ask the same types of questions for each position: what were you hired to do, what was your biggest low points, biggest successes, how would your leader describe you, how big was the team etc.
We have read through your response and appreciate you outlining your experience & perspective. We intentionally have a thorough interview process to ensure alignment on skills required for the position as well as providing candidates the opportunity to understand our business and the people they will be working with. After every WHO interview, we offer a feedback call where we share the rationale and provide an opportunity for candidates to ask questions. If you wish to chat further please feel free to reach out.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Plenty of Fish
Interview
Future interviewees be aware, Plenty of Fish has no problem taking you through the entire interview process, telling you in your final interview that they definitely have a spot for you, then sending you a generic declined email with little to no explanation as to why they so quickly changed their minds. The interview process involved 3 interviews with differing levels of leadership.
