Interview
There were two interviews: the first with a recruiter working with Point72 and the second with an internal recruiter from the company. Both the interviews were similar in structure, beginning with competency and background based questions before moving onto more technical and market related questions. There wasn't a very heavy focus on competency-style questions; it was more to do with gauging interest in investing and understanding your experience with it so far.

Q: What do you understand by long-only equities trading?
Q: Walk me through a stock you think would be a good buy at the moment.
Standard, typical hedge fund questions, also some hypothetical scenarios like what wld u long or short w rates gg up, also stuff like what’s your biggest failure etc etc. would prepare a stock pitch

applied online (short essay questions) -> case study on one real company (L/S) -> waited for two to three weeks but did not make it to next round; got the case like two or three days after filling out the online form
first round hr asked about stock inteersted in got rejcted here they also stock ideas and otehr themes in market can tell i had learnt stuff for the interview.Tough but was possible if goo drveision was done
