Interview
Like most behavioural interviews. They probe for previous experience, academic career, and social interactivity. Felt like a normal conversation. Hirevue before that. 2 mins record your answer type scenario. Overall not bad.
Initial HackerRank - except easy / medium hard leetcode questions
Recruiter Screening - 10-15 minute call

Programming & AI Theory - RAG, LlamaIndex vs. Langgraph, MCP vs. Tool Calls, Python
Past projects deep dive - STAR method, building production systems, tradeoffs and evaluation
3 stages:
1. Hackerrank (the questions were generally around LeetCode medium difficulty)
2. Behavioral interview
3. Technical interview (unlike the HackerRank assessment, there was no live coding involved)
Overall, I found the interview rounds significantly easier than the initial HackerRank assessment.
Online application, then a long/short case study comparing two names. First-round interview covered behavioural questions, motivation, and stock pitches, interest in the markets and the news. Next steps more technical with PM.
