I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Pointer Brand Protection
Interview
I was contacted via email after a couple of days after submitting my application. They offered me to choose the interview time slot among a few options throughout the week. The interview was supposed to last 20 minutes max but in reality lasted around 10. They asked standard questions and the same day they sent me an online assessment and a case study to do. I was happy thinking that they liked my profile and my interview performance. The online assessment is a 30 minute test of random English and math exercises + personality test. The math exercises are about how fast you can make random calculations with literally no time to think. It's an interesting way of assessing the skills of candidates with more than 2 degrees...but anyways, the case study was challenging but fun and interesting. They tell you that it should take around 2 hours to complete. After a couple of days I heard back saying that I could not proceed with the selection process because I did not have enough experience and the right background for the job despite the "interesting" results of my tests. Now, I wonder why it took them the interview plus 2 tests to read through my CV a bit more carefully. If you don't like the candidate profile just don't call him and waste his time, he is not gonna gain more experience overnight
Hi, thank you for sharing your experience regarding our interview process and I'm sorry to hear it didn't turn out as you had hoped for. We believe that a CV is not the only source of information about a candidate's skills, which is why we have two practical tests that we give to the candidates who positively pass the first stage (the one with the "standard" questions :) ). This way we make sure not to overlook candidates who do not have extensive experience, but may have the right theoretical knowledge about the subject or the potential to quickly learn it. The decision of not proceeding with someone's candidacy is not based purely on the information included in someone's CV - we take the tests' results into consideration as well. Hope this gives you more information about our recruitment process and the thought behind it. Good luck with your job search! Jasmina
