I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Pollo Tropical in Mar 2012
Interview
The process is fairly short. You ask for an application, fill it out, turn it in. They will call you back in a few days, you go in, and they just ask you some simple, standard questions, and if you seem alright, you will start working a few days later. They will ask you if you know about Pollo Tropical's history, but it's not a vital thing to know that they started in Florida.
Very simple and straight forward. What roles can you do, have you used a cash register before? Can you lift 50 lbs and be constantly bending down. Are you bilingual, they seemed to hire me on the spot.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Pollo Tropical
Interview
Pretty easy going interview. I was a student at the time with little hospitality experience. Everyone was welcoming for the most part. Questions revolved around my availability and overall work experience. You don’t need to know Spanish but it can be helpful.
