Contacted by recruiter. One hour long Teams meeting with CEO, then required to take an hour long assessment that was completely irrelevant to the position. 4 hour long in-person meeting/tour/lunch with junior staff and upper management, all with the same generic questioning, nothing technical. Told I could expect an offer in a day or two. Ghosted by CEO, one week later told I wasn't a good fit by recruiter. About as unprofessional as it gets short of rescinding an offer. I have my suspicions as to what happened behind the scenes, but regardless, CEO can't be trusted in the hiring process. I've never been so led on only to have the rug pulled out from under me at the last minute with no explanation. A monumental waste of time.
