The process began with a phone screening to ensure that I met basic position requirements and had an amiable nature. What followed was a five-hour long series of interviews with Administrators and Department Chairs, sometimes one-on-one, other times two or more-to-one. All of the personalities were pleasant and professional, and the marathon ended with a meeting with the Head of School. The process was exhausting, and, after all that, the follow-up took two weeks and was a mere "Thanks but no thanks" e-mail from the Principal.
