I interviewed twice with Poudre, once at The Harmony location and once at Old Town. Both experiences were very similar, the questions are very redundant and seem to have obvious answers, I felt I was overqualified for the position based on my years of experience in the field and my degree, yet I never heard back in either case. In both cases when I asked, I was told I would likely hear back in a couple of weeks whether or not I was chosen, which first of all is a very long time to make candidates wait, especially because in both cases I was told the wait would be due to employee vacation time! And in both cases, I NEVER heard back. The first time around, I waited about three weeks before attempting to contact and find out what was going on, was given the runaround and finally put in contact with someone who told me they filled the position. After the second interview, I made sure to ask whether I would be contacted in either case if I received the position or not, and was heavily assured that they contact everyone who interviews and they are very caring towards people - but again, this wasn't true! Three weeks later never heard back, and I have given up. If this is how this place treats candidates, I can't imagine working for them. Very unprofessional and just simply rude to people who are looking for employment. Makes it worse considering how over the top they are about claiming how much they value people, it is obviously not true. Very disappointing, unlike any interview process I have ever experienced, inside and outside of the library world.
