I applied in-person. I interviewed at Poway USD - San Diego (San Diego, CA) in Dec 2021
Interview
In the interview they gave me a list of questions. It's self-paced and they barely interrupted me. The questions are pretty basic, like why do you want this job, what experience have you had working with students with disabilities, etc. There's a shortage of IAs so you'd probably get in.

Each school site has a table where admin sits. They let everyone in the room from a line that formed an hour prior outside the building, and it's a free for all. The full time (benefitted) positions fill up, and then there is only part time. None of them may be at sites or locations that you want.
