I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Praxent in June 2019
Interview
Step 1. Hiring manager + Someone Else => Zoom meeting.
This went well, general questions about personality and soft skills such as Weaknesses, Strengths and current role.
Step 2. VP Operations, Senior Consultant and Recruiting Manager => Technical and Background check Zoom meeting
This was intended to be a very structured conversation. He mentioned that he was filling out a scorecard during the whole interview and if I didn't know an answer, I was advised to be honest. I was told upfront several times that this was going to be a 90 minutes sessions divided into two parts. However, after a round of questions (about 35 minutes), there was a hard stop and I was pretty much rejected at that moment. He said the meeting was over and I should wait for an offer, which by then it was clear I would never receive.
** Received an email from them confirming the process was over. It's appreciated.
Advice:
- Be clear and concise because Senior Consultant seems to be upset all the time.
- Spring, Java EE, AWS and Cloud concepts should be clear.
