I had an initial zoom call with hiring manager that was meant to be 30 mins but went over an hour. This was followed by panel interview on site where I presented a 15 min presentation about my background upon their request. Lab managers/project managers during panel were nice and sounded interesting. No technical skill questions were asked, mostly assessing my experience/background and whether if I am a good fit for the company or not. A lot of information was shared during the interview and realized they are much more smaller than they advertise themselves on their website. I enjoyed the interview until the last part where I met the potential coworkers. I felt that there is no cultural diversity in this company which is a red flag. As someone who is from a colored background, I didn't feel like I would feel supported in the team. Their questions were not to get to know me but imply that my career goals are not realistic which I don't think it is their business and that it would impact the work I would do for them. Overall, this interview reminded me the interviews/interviewers I had back in college as if I am a student to be taught a life lesson rather than a professional with experience who is willing to contribute to the .
