Was invited for a phone interview via email with a link to the recruiter's online calendar. I set up the interview and the interviewer was late and sent me a text saying they would be available later if I still wanted to interview, which I did. However, this made the first impression, not great and unprofessional. Then, after the phone interview all went well and I received an in-person interview invitation. This time the direct supervisor was interviewing me and they were very late to the interview and I waited for them to arrive and proceeded with the interview. I was then told the next steps would be a final interview in office with a skills test. Instead, I received an email with two very time consuming skills test which both needed to be done at-home. I received the email Friday afternoon and was requested to present part of the skills test to a panel via a Teams meeting the following Wednesday morning. Had they indicated that the tests would be at-home, I could have planned for that, but because they sent me at-home tests at the last minute on Friday and I had family visiting through the weekend and into the week that I had to host and entertain, it was a little frustrating for them to have that expectation without giving enough weekday time to complete the tasks. Despite this, I completed the first task and returned that to them on Monday morning and requested a new presentation date due to the circumstances. They emailed that they would follow up with the new date and ghosted me after that. It is really a shame their hiring practices as I had been extremely accommodating and understanding of their tardiness and that they could not have shown the same courtesy shows me I have no interest in working in a place like that which is so unorganized and inconsiderate of people's weekend time and the test expectations being too extensive without pay. It is unlikely anyone would want to stick around in that atmosphere.
