I applied online. I interviewed at Prezzo Italian (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) in Aug 2017
Interview
I applied for Prezzo through the recruiting page Harri in which with in the space of a week I received and invite to an interview. I replied quickly to this invite as unfortunately I was unavailable on the dates offered (they were less than 5 days away) the store replied instantly offering me another date for interview which I instantly accepted. It then took Prezzo Newcastle an additional 4 days to update and confirm this change. I arrived at my interview and the woman I assumed to be the manager looked confused at my arrival and unprepared which I found a bit unprofessional especially when it was before restaurant opening. The interview wasn't really what I'd call an interview it was more her talking about what she wants and telling me basic things about the application process with very little conversation or interest in me. I was told I would receive a call the following Wednesday (my interview was a Thursday) to arrange a trial shift even though by this point I had been put off working for the business. I actually received the call the Sunday whilst I was out and unable to accept the call in which a voicemail was left asking me to ring back to arrange my trial shift. I checked my phone a few hours after missing this call and before given the chance to ring back I had been sent an email stating my application wasn't successful and I wouldn't be going an further. I found this a little strange that my application was rejected only an hour after missing a call providing I rang for a trial shift. This made me realise how working for Prezzo would not give the flexibility advertised or suggested and gave the company a really negative reputation in my eyes.
