I applied online. I interviewed at Primark (West Bromwich, England) in June 2017
Interview
Group interview, lasted around and hour and a half due to the wait for everyone to arrive. Plus there was only one interviewer and two groups of around 7 people, so we had to alternate, so group one would go in whilst group 2 sat outside and waited and vice versa
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There was no specific questions, it was scenario based. So the first one we had was the manager gave us 10 different scenarios that could happen in a shop, i.e. queues, a well known shoplifter entering the store, clothes all over the floor, a customer collapsed outside etc. And as a team we had to choose the most important 5 and then one person had to explain why. The next task we had was a debate, so the manager split my group in half so it was like 3v4, and then one side had to argue the men's section was better and the other half had to argue that the woman's section was better. Lastly, we had another task similar to the first one, however this was on the personality traits ands characteristics that would be required i.e. efficiency, team work and so forth. Again we had to choose the top 5, rank that 5 most important to least important and then explain why.
There’s an exam first at home then an in person interview, it’s one manager interviewing you and it’s quite short, they don’t ask too many questions just know your CV and being able to work flexible hours helps

Question 1
They asked about previous experience, and how to handle certain situations with customers, also about flexibility
Questions you would expect in majority retail roles. Questions about shop floor interactions. Customer interactions etc. There's only a few questions. Interview focuses the most on your soft skills and your approach to the retail environment.
