I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Prime Healthcare Services (Chicago, IL) in May 2018
Interview
Prime Healthcare had an opening for SDI specialist and I applied to it. Then I called them to let them know of my interest. They were quick to schedule my phone interview and in next two to three days they scheduled a skype interview with me . During skype interview they first told me about the position and the role and responsibilities of a CDS specialist. After that the to guys asked me a few questions about my professional experience and then about a personal reference I had mentioned in my application and also whether I was willing to relocate and work overtime at certain times if required . I said Yes to everything cos I didn't have any problem with their requirements. The interview went well and I was happy that I was going to get hired because they told me that someone will contact me in few days about further procedure of the hiring process. I sent a post interview thank you email and started waiting but didn't hear from them in two weeks. . I called them and they pulled my file and told me that the decision about my hiring was pending due to my recorded interview not yet watched by someone who makes the final decision cos he was busy in traveling related to work. Another week later I called again and the interview had still not been watched and that they will put a reminder on it for the concerned manager. I waited 2 to 3 more weeks and I reminded them again through an email. I didn't even get a reply to my email from the coordinator, let alone telling me that they have filled the position or any other plan about keeping me waiting. But the same coordinator didn't have any problem corresponding with me during the application process. Probably they filled the position without even bothering to let me know that they weren't considering me for the position anymore. My conclusion is that if they need you, they have the capacity and time to reply and communicate with you promptly, but if they decide to not hire you , they don't have the decency to let you know and not waste your time any further. At least in my case I could move on with joining other jobs that were willing to hire me and I did join one of them later , though it took me quite a while because my first preference was to join Prime Healthcare as a CDS specialist
A few months later I came to know from a friend who worked with Prime Health that few CDS specialist had been hired and also told me that he had an acquaintance with a girl who was hired as a full time CDS specialist a month back and was getting around $25 per hour but after few weeks she was told to work at a lower position and the pay was reduced to around $16 per hour. He told me that she was trying to quit and was looking for another job .
