I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Prismatic (SD) (Denver, CO) in Aug 2024
Interview
The interview process was quite lengthy, but was starting off initially positive and felt like a good fit. I didn't have direct experience which I was very upfront about. I spent a lot of time preparing a presentation on slides and trying to already get a jump start on learning the language (30+ hours). Unfortunately I had some interruptions during the third interview that threw me off my game. I was hoping to have another chance to prove myself in another interview, but wasn't given the chance. Oh well. Do feel like I was kind of strung along for a while though, I was hoping that them seeing how much effort I was putting into learning and my excitement for the role and the company as a whole would be enough. But apparently it wasn't unfortunately.

Interview
Recruiter screen then hiring manager interview. Unfortunately, my experience ended here. I felt I had a really great conversation with the hiring manager, but I received a very generic rejection email without any feedback or reasoning.
The process took about a month. There were several sessions, ranging from technical to behavioral. Of the two technical sessions, one was presentation I prepared for in advance, and the other was a more conventional no-prep technical.
Both sessions were more discussion-based and less LeetCode-like, which I enjoyed and thought was a lot more applicable to what happens on the job.
