I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Procore Technologies (Carpinteria, CA)
Interview
Started by meeting all the interviewers, where we introduced ourselves and discussed my background and past expertise.
Architecture Design session with two developers, solved a problem focusing on the high level components and their interactions.
Lunch, hang out over some very tasty sandwiches and informally discussed more about my background, experience and got to know more about the team and challenges at procore.
Meeting with engineering manager , talk about my future career plans, the methodology and flows at procore compared with the ones at my current and past positions.
Finished with a coding session with an iOS dev, where we pair programmed a simple iOS app with networking.
Overall it was a great experience! The people where friendly and knowledgeable, and the location superb! Excellent views of the coast in a really well crafted building.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Procore Technologies in June 2018
Interview
Interview process was smooth, quick, and everyone I spoke with was very friendly. Had an initial 30min recruiter call about company, role, and spoke a little about my background. Afterwards had a second 30min call with another iOS engineer and it was very casual and stress free. I went over past experience and resume and they talked more in depth about the role. Once that was over, I received an invitation to do a pair programming challenge with another iOS engineer. It was one hour long and consisted of TDD (test driven development) related to a common game. Used test cases and talked out loud about my thought process. There wasn't much coding from the other dev but they were very helpful and patient. Be prepared to lead the challenge.
