I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Procore Technologies (Austin, TX) in Aug 2021
Interview
This was about as smooth as they get! First was a phone call with the recruiter where we went over the resume and was told a lot about the company, the job, and the pay (1 x 30min). Very up front about everything.
Next came a panel interview (3 x 30min) with three people (all in manager positions relating to supporting the SDR team in one vertical or another. Resume questions, but mostly seemed to be looking for culture fit. They really talk a lot about company culture, but to me it seems that they back it up with their hires!
Finally there was a final interview with a senior sales manager who is ultimately making the hiring decision (1 x 30min)
Ultimately, the interview process was great, nerve-wracking, sure, but the interviewers really make an effort to get to know you and make you feel comfortable. Felt a lot more like a conversation than an interrogation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why sales?
Why Procore?
What questions would be good to ask a potential client on a cold call?
What are you good at in sales?
What are you not so good at?
Tell me about yourself
The interview process was as expected with a quick 30 min call the HR/Recruitment to check boxes if this is worth additional interviews. The 2nd interview was will the sales manager and was a little more in depth about personality, company culture, day to day on the job and career aspirations. 3rd interview was with (3) team members in the office. Unfortunately, the 3rd interview continued to get rescheduled and then the job position was changed from remote to in office and I was unable to relocate.
