      Account Manager Interview

      18 Dec 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Chesapeake, VA
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Prosource Wholesale (Chesapeake, VA)

      Interview

Phone interview first with recruiter. Then did one in person with a group. Then another one on one. No one knew what store to put me at or what pay plan. Was offered job and I accepted. The next week I signed offer letter did all the tax paperwork. On my way to the drug test they decided they weren't going to hire anyone for the season. Everyone pointed fingers and had no straight answer. It was all fishy. Maybe they changed their mind on my and no one had the balls to say it . I don't know. All very unprofessional, and a huge waste of my time and energy.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Prosource Wholesale (Pompano Beach, FL) in Aug 2024

      Interview

Interview Experience - Disappointing Process and Misleading Pay I recently went through the interview process for an Account Manager position at ProSource Wholesale, and I wanted to share my experience for those considering applying. First off, the process was lengthy and involved multiple stages. By the time I reached the third interview, I was quite invested in the opportunity. However, the salary they offered at that stage was significantly lower than what was advertised on the job posting on Indeed, which was both surprising and disappointing. When I brought this up, the interviewer claimed that the amount in the job posting "must have been a mistake," which felt misleading and unprofessional. The second interview with the regional manager was particularly uncomfortable. At one point, he asked, "How much money are you looking to make?" When I responded professionally, he remarked, "Ok good, because if you had said 200K, this interview would have ended right here." This comment was not only unprofessional but also made me question the company's approach to interviews and employee relations. For anyone considering this company, I strongly recommend reading all the reviews (especially those at the bottom) before making a decision. My experience left me questioning whether this is the right environment for a professional career.

Super short, seems like they just need bodies. Nothing formal, didn't even ask about anything on my resume. if you can sell you'll get the job. seems like very high turnover
