I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Public Health Scotland in Dec 2023
Interview
Online interview for less than an hour. It began with some administration, followed by technical and competency-based interview questions. Some of the technical questions related to the graph I made in the previous assessment stage.

Interview
The interview process included first submitting a CV and answers to questions like "Why do you want to work for PHS?". If successful, the next phase was an assessment based on GP summaries, which involved pulling numbers from an Excel sheet and then creating a chart in R or another similar software. Then the next phase is a formal interview which is competency-based, and they're looking for STAR method answers. They also asked about the chart created in the assessment, as well as an additional technical question based on a PHS publication.
