      Application

I interviewed at Publicis Groupe (Toronto, ON)

      Interview

First round was HR round, which was basic, about the resume, salary expectations. Easy round. Second wrong was more in depth, with 3 people in the meeting, mainly questions asked by 2 of them, Manager and Director. Was moderate difficult. But vague questions.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Publicis Groupe (Toronto, ON) in Aug 2019

      Interview

I applied online and soon after received an email asking me my salary expectations. A week or so went by and I received another email from a different person to schedule a phone interview. I was preparing to go on vacation the next day, which made it difficult, so after several days of emailing back and forth we decided on a time for the phone call on the day I returned. They emailed to confirm the day and time, and then gave me the details of where to meet and who I would be meeting with, which threw me off because they had said it was for a preliminary phone interview and did not mention before that it would be in person. This should have been my first red flag of the level of disorganization and poor communication within their HR department. After they realized their mistake we re-scheduled for later that week and I met with the Associate Director and another Director of a department that I would potentially be working cross-functionally with. The interview went well, they asked relevant questions about my experience and knowledge base, and both people seemed confident, knowledgeable, and respectful of me. Two business days later I received a phone call from the initial HR person that reached out to me offering me the position and explaining to me all the relevant details. They said they would email me the offer later that day, and at the very end of the day they emailed saying that there had been some "last minute restructuring" of the department and they would let me know soon what would come of the job that they just offered. Confused and bewildered, I wondered how a restructuring of an entire department would not have been dealt with before the organization interviewed and offered the position to someone. The next day they called again and told me that this position had changed to a junior role with a much lower salary level. I declined to be considered for it and laughed at the lack of professionalism an agency like this demonstrated.
