I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Publix (Roswell, GA) in Mar 2014
Interview
Very straightforward, we discussed job duties and responsibilities, transportation, availability. I was asked what I know of Publix History, my idea of customer service, and how I would handle a "bad" customer. Customer comes first, service is top in importance, making them happy. Finalized with an offer of pay and the job, and I took it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you think you would handle a customer angry at a failed product?
Asked what I knew about the company. Interviewer was impressed I knew the founder and when it was founded. The interview was very easy and no prior work experience was needed.
Really was easy. Basically the only question asked was why I wanted to work there. I basically just said because I’ve always enjoyed going to Publix growing up and seeing all the employees with a smile made me know it was a good place to work.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Publix (Rolesville, NC) in Apr 2025
Interview
I applied online and I showed up at the job fair in both March to learn about the company and April to actually do my interview. It was for a new store they are opening in Rolesville.
