Interviewed with the CCO who did not come prepared for the interview. It's frustrating when you spend a lot of time prepping to answer questions and then the interviewer expects you to lead the interview. I got the feeling they wanted a personality hire. He didn't ask me one question specifically about graphic design or being a designer, which highlights for me why the caliber of the work they show on their website is so amateurish.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pulp & Fiber (Toronto, ON) in May 2015
Interview
It was fine. The Associate Creative Director asked valid and technical questions. They presented some of their work and asked me if I was comfortable with their level of details.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Pulp & Fiber (Toronto, ON) in June 2016
Interview
The recruiter settled an interview for senior developer position, meeting with Director, Digital Accounts and Development Team Lead. After the interview, the recruiter came back saying that 'Your testing results were not that great.', giving no details on what in particular was not great, while you spend 2 to 4 hours doing their requirement.
A short conversation with Ian after the test revealed, that they don't capture initial job requirements in typical scrum user stories and just get work out the door. Looks like another cowboy shop to stay away from.
