      ECommerce Manager Interview

      11 May 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Wantage, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Purdicom (Wantage, England) in May 2018

      Interview

Everything arranged very quickly after application via email, no pre-screen / telephone interview which is a shame as it would have flagged up the fact that the job description is not for the job for which the company is recruiting. Having prepared to interview for the role advertised and researched all of the applications and requirements mentioned in the Job Description it became apparent that something was amiss. The interviewers did not have a copy of the job description to hand and appeared suprised that it contained much of the content, having quickly googled the job description when I got home it appears that it has been copied and pasted from a job posted over a month before for a company in Totnes! Not sure who approved the advert to go ahead, but I would suggest putting more effort into getting these things right, in order not to waste everyones time. Even though it was a poor experience due to the above, the company seems to be a good proposition and may well make a good employer, just be warned that you need to make sure you are applying for a job which actually exists.

      Anonymous employee

      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Purdicom (Wantage, England) in May 2018

      Interview

The interview process was very easy, Purdicom was informative of the structure of the interview beforehand, Purdicom seems to be a great place to work and it's in the most beautiful setting, the staff were very friendly, I was offered Coffee/ Tea and cold drink when I turned up, I met with the Director of HR, Director of Sales and Marketing and the Managing Director they were all great people and I’m looking forward in working with them. The Job Description was a little vague however I clarified a few things with the interviewers beforehand and they put my mind at rest as to what they wanted, from this I was able to create a presentation on what I would do within the role and how I would take on the challenge, the interviewers seem to love the presentation and we got along very well, after the interview I was shown round the company they even had a pool table and a cafe for lunches which is pretty awesome, it was great interview process and a lot easier than what I’ve had to do before.
