Interview
Applied online and was asked to come into the office almost immediately. The person I interviewed with was nice, but didn't ask a lot of in-depth questions, or explained the role very well; I felt I was the one doing the majority of the inquiring. I followed up with a thank you email later that same day, and stated I was eager to hear about any next steps, because I was genuinely interested in the role. I never received a response. While I fully understand that many managers don't reply to thank you emails, since there was no HR intermediary in this instance, even a generic, automated, "thank you for your time but we've decided to go in another direction" email would have been sufficient and appreciated. In all my past experiences, when a person takes time of out their day to come into an office and interview, there's a basic level of professional courtesy that's extended to them. Perhaps not the biggest deal given that it was only one interview, but since it appears to be a pattern for this company, seems like a bit of a red flag to me.

Interview
I was very excited for the interview and to meet with members of the company. I interviewed for an account manager role and met with 2 women who were also account managers whom I would be working with. I found that a bit odd, as how would they know my qualifications? It seemed like they just wanted to hire people who were exactly like them. I feel I should've met with a higher up who would be managing me. Not girls who decided if they would like to work with me. I thought the interview went pretty well however. I emailed the manager who had emailed me initially to set up the interview to thank her for the opportunity and followed up with her 3 TIMES to see next steps. I received nothing back which I found extremely rude. Even if I didn't get the job, could you write something? Really left a bad taste in my mouth and will not be supporting the company ever.

Interview
They were very responsive at first, I applied and they brought me in for an interview with two editors, then had me do a very fair edit test and brought me in for a second interview with two more senior editors. Both interviews were more like conversations and seemed more like a personality check. They didn't ask so many questions and there were no hardballs. They then told me that they would let me know soon, but I didn't hear anything for more than a month. They updated me only twice, and one time I followed up to ask but they became very vague after moving things along quickly at first. I eventually got another offer and didn't wait to see if I got an offer from them, and I ended up being very frustrated because the job really appealed to me and they seemed aggressive and enthusiastic at first.
