I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pusher (London, England) in Nov 2019
Interview
Couple of phone calls to discuss career and standard technical questions. Then, a take home test which was evaluated before moving to the onsite interview.
The on-site had different types of interviews, some more technical about the take home test, others more product focused.
The engineers seemed entitled as they made incorrect comments about the language used in the code and when I corrected their misconception they didn’t take it lightly. In the system design part, the solution I presented was the same as how they solved (confirmed by them when I asked at the end of the session) but the overall interview feedback was that I wasn’t at their level. The pay is below average as the recruiter gasped after I mentioned my salary expectations.
Pretty sure I dodged one there.
Not a great experience. The interviewer had a thick accent and was very difficult to understand. They also groaned with contempt when I couldn’t understand what they were saying which was a horrendously disrespectful way to behave. That’s a massive red flag right there. I didn’t get much out of the interview because I couldn’t understand a lot of what was being said.
Didn’t hear anything back either. Poor candidate experience.
