      HTML Web Artist Interview

      19 Aug 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Sunrise, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Q Interactive (Sunrise, FL) in May 2013

      Interview

The hiring process for an entry level position at Q Interactive was unprofessional and ridiculous. The interview was dry and the interviewer made no attempt to assess any technical ability other than asking to self-rate "on a scale of 1-10" various skills which had already been answered as part of the initial written employment application. After sending a thank you and several portfolio additions they requested I received no reply. After sending a request for an update I received no reply. After calling I was told that a decision would be reached the following week. When I called at the end of that week, I was again told that a decision would be made the following week. Sending out no-reply emails followed by phone calls went on for several weeks until ultimately I was told the position had been "put on hold." The hiring process should not be like avoiding a boy in junior high school because he keeps asking you out and you don't like him. If these people were professional at all then they would get their act together and bring some genuine communication skills to the table. Bottom line: don't expect much in the way of courtesy or professionalism and seek employment elsewhere!
