      Graphic Designer Interview

      7 Apr 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Quad-City Times (New York, NY) in Feb 2014

      Interview

This was a perfect example of not being prepared and not understanding the details of the position. I applied for this position and really wasn't prepared. I was asked to perform basic add placement and at that time I was confused. This slight hesitation immediately put doubt into the hiring managers head. I proceeded to stumble my way through something I should have known with my eyes closed. I obviously didn't get the job and rightfully so. I learned to do research on the company and have a better understanding of the job. I was arrogant thinking I would just walk in the door and be handed the job. This was an embarrassing experience, but helpful.
