Quantiphi came to my institute for the on-campus recruitment in the month of September, 2020. There was a written round first, which included aptitute, verbal and coding questions. Results of this round were annouced the same day, around midnight. I was shortlisted and one-on-one interviews were scheduled the next day. Their process of conducting the interviews was very sloppy. I had received a mail about my technical interview scheduled at 'x' time. But earlier in the morning, they had created a whatsapp group with the shortlisted candidates and employees of the company and we were asked to disregard the time mentioned in the mail and wait for our turn in the whatsapp group. So, instead of preparing for the interview, I was checking my whatsapp every 2 minutes for my turn. Around 5pm, my technical interview started, which went pretty well. Received a mail immediately after the interview that I had cleared the technical interview and now the same thing all over again, I was supposed to wait for my hr interview updates in the whatsapp group. Around 8pm, the HR interview, I had a great, pleasant chat with the HR and I was pretty sure I will be selected. Again, around midnight they sent a list of selected candidates on whatsapp. I didn't get in. Reason being? My branch. This is not me making assumptions, I could easily notice this trend in the list of selected students, all of them were from CS/IT. I asked one of my friends about the interview and the HR literally frowned upon her when she mentioned that she was from electronics and communication. And there were a plenty of other talented students from other branches that were not selected. And to be honest, I am not mad about the bias this company showed towards a specific branch, it happens all the time with all kinds of companies. I get it. What I am mad about is, if they had a branch preference then they shouldn't have allowed other branch students to appear for the process and waste their days over the stress of interviews. I tried contacting the hr that took my interview, to ask him the reason of my rejection, but no reply. The very next week, Quantiphi conducted their recruitment process in my friend's college and they selected him for an ML engineering profile. Reason being? His branch. He was from CS and he had 0, I mean ZERO experience in anything related to machine learning or artificial intelligence. And yet, he was still selected. After reading a bunch of terrible reviews about the company from my seniors, glassdoor and quora, I was glad I wasn't selected.
