I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Quizlet (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2018
Interview
The onsite interviews took a full day. Interviews were not solely focussed on coding questions. The coding problem was average in difficulty. For the coding part, I was asked to clone the problem from a github repo and implement solution to the problem on my own laptop. I really appreciated the fact that they encouraged me to get my own laptop and work with the IDE I was most comfortable with. Sample data was included which made troubleshooting the logic lot easier.
Couple of the onsite interviews were really carried out as collaborative discussions as the interviewer and I worked through realistic design questions.
Towards the end, I got a chance to talk to the management team and ask them about the vision for the company. On their part, they seemed to be looking for what motivated me to apply at the company and what kind of problems would I be looking forward to work on at Quizlet.
On the whole, interviewers were very courteous, in a couple of cases it even felt like we were working through parts of the problem together.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Quizlet (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Two rounds of coding interviews and one system design for senior/staff level. One of the coding interview was about finding flaws in existing code, which I thought was very practical. Another involved some amount of design in addition to implementation. Again a very practical scenario. None of the questions were the typical leet code style algorithms.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Quizlet in July 2024
Interview
The phone screen with the manager lasted 75 minutes, blending coding and behavioral questions. The interview included a technical section focusing on simple recursion, where problem-solving and coding abilities were assessed. Additionally, the behavioral portion evaluated communication skills, teamwork, and cultural fit within the company. This comprehensive approach provided a balanced evaluation of both technical prowess and interpersonal skills.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Quizlet in Jan 2023
Interview
a recruiter call followed by a hiring manager match round. The phone screen is a 2 hr case study (1 hr you silently working on a design, 1hr present and discuss with interviews) after you passed that, it's 1hr coding (non-leetcode style practical coding) + 1hr code review practice + another 30min hiring manager chat the final stage is the ceo chat, a lot of behavior questions.. where they try to aggressively find what type of person you're. overall, the technical rounds are positive experience, but not really for the behavior round. Got rejected after a week without feedback.
