I’ve been lucky enough to peek inside quite a few edtech companies, and I can without a doubt say that this is the most all around impressive one I’ve seen. Not only is the product a wonderful utility for so many teachers and students, but the people who comprise the teams are all so intelligent, thoughtful, and kind. I’ve interviewed not once, but twice here, and I would be honored to interview again in the future. I can hands down say it’s the most respectful and professional interview process I’ve experienced, along with having the most welcoming and approachable people. I would highly recommend Quizlet to anyone currently on the hunt for a new career.
I connected with the marketing director a year prior in order to network, and she was so kind and receptive to my reaching out. I contacted her directly when this position was first posted, interviewed for this role originally in May, and ultimately was not hired. I was however left with a lasting and wonderful impression of the company. The entire process was very quick, efficient, thorough, and respectful of my time. The whole process took about two weeks and involved a phone screen, a review of my work samples/portfolio, and then an in person interview with four team members that lasted about three hours. They contacted me with their decision in less than a week after my interview.
They reached back out to me to come in and re-interview for the position a few months later, and while I don’t know if I would have been formally offered the position or not this time around, as I decided to accept a much different type of role at another company, my glowing impression of Quizlet was only reinforced.
An interview process in general can expose a lot about the culture of a company, and their's showed me that Quizlet is uniquely full of humanity. If you’re looking for a workplace that genuinely values learning, kindness, diversity, and respect, then this is a great place for you. I wish them nothing but the best!
