3 rounds of interviews (completed the 2).
First, with senior members, a screening interview with
Second, meet the team interview with a task (prepare a research project) and meet fellow RAND analysts.
I didn't get to the third round. The most disappointing bit was the lack of feedback that could help unsuccessful applicants improve.

"budget is running low, and project activities have not been completed. what do you do" kind of questions
Initial phone interview lased one hour. This was followed by a half a day (4 hours) interview with 4-5 individual people and an assessment test at the end including budgeting and policy analysis.

Interview
I applied online through the RAND Website in early August. Received an invitation for a phone interview approximately two weeks later and was invited to a virtual interview day. In Late October I had a half day interview with 7 staff: 5 researchers, one policy analyst, and an HR representative via Teams Virtual Interview.
