      Marketing Analyst Interview

      27 Sept 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Cerritos, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at REVOLVE (Cerritos, CA) in Feb 2012

      Interview

the whole process took over 2 months. I was called in for 5 times. They gave me some math problem during the interview, and ask me to do some matlab code right away. I dont understand why they ask me to do that for a marketing position. I was asked to come 5 times and still ended up no offer... It was such a waste of my time and gas money. really negative experience....and they would never call you back or let you know the result.....you have to figure out yourself.....

      Marketing Analyst Interview

      16 Dec 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at REVOLVE

      Interview

Applied through a recruiter agency. Got a email response quickly from recruiter stating I had a phone interview. Two days later was called by two hiring managers. Call went well. Was later told by recruiter that they want to do a onsite interview. This took place a little over a week later and it was a terrible experience. Initially met with HR and that was fine, standard intro questions and review of company culture and all that. Was later informed that I will be meeting with three separate people in separate interviews and they would be administering a series and word problems and challenges. This was not mentioned whatsoever by the recruiter and had no clue what I was getting into nor had time to properly prepare and also was told it would take 1 hour, actually took over 3 hours. First interview with interviewer 1 was fine, nice guy, personable, had good dialogue and could answer all his questions. Lasted about 45 mins. Second interview was with interviewer two was the most humiliating experience I've ever had in an interview. Extremely condescending individual who would actually smirk and try not to laugh at some of my responses. He issued three challenges to me, a hand written equation to solve, a SQL question about syntax structure and execution sequence, and algebraic word problem. Mind you, I have not done this type of math in years and had no warning that this would take place, so I failed the math questions as I couldn't read his writing and I guess I've become lazy and rely on excel now to do my math. The SQL question was fine as I know SQL. In the third interview I was given an ad words challenge about purchasing clicks to get a desired revenue ratio. Again, no where is the job description did it mention anything about adwords, ad purchasing or related activities so I was not prepared for this at all and not as sharp with ad click math as I should be and failed this one bad as well. Overall, I walked into a massive trap and left feeling extremely stupid. Be warned, be prepared.
