      Recruitment Specialist Interview

      20 Apr 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at RFM Corporation in Apr 2016

      Interview

Responded to a job advertisement on LinkedIn and sent a message expressing my interest for the post along with my CV. I also mentioned that I'd like to grow my career in FMCG having a previous background. Also stated that position level & salary is negotiable (should the opening be junior/entry level) since main motivations are industry & proximity. Got a response that they'll review my profile and schedule me for a possible interview. Received an SMS at 6:30 PM that day & inviting me to attend a 9 AM exam & interview w/o even asking me on my availability. Despite feeling rushed and unprepared given the very short notice, I gave it a go. I then requested for a contact person and exact venue address. I received a response at 8:30 PM w/c was very late indicating that I should look for Interbake HR along Pioneer St. The position and the role reqmnts weren't even discussed with me. The ff day, I went to their head office and was informed that Interbake was a subsidiary and had another office. It was difficult to locate given that they only gave a street name. Upon arriving at the venue, I asked around where HR was and they made us (applicants) wait at lobby where there are no fans nor airconditioning which was scorching hot given the summer condition. The original schedule was at 9 AM and we were called around 9:30 AM. Feeling clueless about the opportunity I was hoping to find more info about, I asked the Site HR if the post was for Corporate HR since I submitted my profile to corporate office. She mentioned that their only opening is site-based. I then decided to tell her that I'm withdrawing my application because I was applying for Corporate HR and that nobody explained the opportunity in detail for me to decide if the post was worth pursuing. I thought that they were able to profile my credentials well given my background in corporate recruitment as well as my career level and intent to join head office. In the end, it was a very frustrating experience.
